Foxglove
Winemaker Bob Varner makes Foxglove in a modern style that’s meant to bring out the true terroir of the Edna Valley appellation. He adds the same quality standards and attention to detail for Foxglove that he puts into every barrel of single-vineyard Varner wine. Foxglove wines have not had tartaric acid additions, water added, reverse osmosis or any other non-natural technique often found in wines at this price. He transmits the flavor and purity of the appellation in a fruit forward, approachable style. Foxglove's flavor profile has a balance between fruit, freshness and concentration, and above all, it delivers the same commitment to quality found in Varner Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Wine Advocate
The sensational 2008 Chardonnay Central Coast, which is fermented and aged completely in stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation, is a 30,000-cuvee of fabulous Chardonnay. Loads of tropical fruit, honeysuckle, and orange blossom notes fill the olfactory sense, as does the luscious medium-bodied texture on the palate. The wine is buttressed by crisp underlying acidity, and the result is a fresh, naked expression of Chardonnay that is top-flight. Drink it over the next year or so.

For older wine vintages, we make every effort to ensure that the wines are in top condition. It is Moe's Fine Wines' policy as well as the industry standard, that wines that are five years or older are purchased at the buyer's risk.
