Chalk Hill
The 2007 season was perfect for growing Chardonnay. Ideal weather through harvest allowed grapes from every block to reach desired ripeness. Aromas are concentrated and complex – white flower, sweet cream, ripe peach, lemon oil and wet stone – leading to a palate anchored with rich minerality and tropical and stone fruit. A clean acidity and mouth-filling texture unite pear, pineapple and sweet orange fruit with subtly sweet brown spice and honeyed toast.
Wine Spectator
Bold, rich and full-bodied, with succulent fig, apricot, smoky oak and roasted marshmallow flavors that are complex and distinctive, finishing with a long, intricate finish and subtle flavor notes. Drink now through 2015. 13,837 cases made.

The light straw/gold-hued 2007 Chardonnay Estate reveals an attractive bouquet of smoky hazelnuts, nectarines, and buttered citrus, medium to full body, and good freshness and acidity. Enjoy it over the next 1-2 years.

Ultrarich, maybe too much so for elegance, with powerful caramel and vanilla crème brûlée flavors overpowering the pineapples, peaches and green apples. Still, there’s no denying the deliciousness. Crisp acidity fortunately provides balance.
